Another Reason To Be Disappointed In America

I used to be proud of my service in Korea, and looked back fondly on my time there. That is, until today. Looking back after reading an article detailing the US military and its lack of intervention in the massacre of thousands of Korean civilians, I have a different feeling about the country, my time there, the leadership of America and the military commanders and officers serving at the time.

Bluntly speaking, I’m disgusted in those in our military who sat by and did nothing about mass executions of civilians. Bluntly speaking, I’m ashamed of my country for what it did—which at the very least was to do nothing, and at worst was to actually condone or encourage it through tacit approval by its refusal to do something about it.

What am I talking about? Lining up political prisoners and machine gunning them to death and putting them in mass graves. Not just one incident of it, but a policy and practice of it, every bit as heinous as the war crimes committed by the Nazis in WWII. By one of our allies, and after we took those Nazis to task for the very same sorts of things, which probably makes it even worse in my opinion because it adds the element of hypocrisy.

Right now I couldn’t be much more disgusted in my country, those who led it, and those who lead it now. I will never think of my time in South Korea the same way again. Gone will be what good memories there were, replaced by a revolting, sick thought that I ever helped protect the country of those murdering bastards and sick degenerates. No wonder the communists hated them so fucking much.

Those South Koreans were no better than the communists they fought against. And towards McArthur and all the American military officers who did not stop those atrocities, I look down on them as spineless cowards, despicable, disgusting and weak excuses for men who I wouldn’t piss on—even if they were on fire and begged for it.

You would think that as one grew older and wiser, they would be able to find more reasons to love their country. That’s not the case at all for me. I find more and more reasons to want to see it changed from its present form, much like our founding fathers saw many reasons to change the government which they themselves lived under prior to gaining independence.

Which is why I didn’t even celebrate Independence Day this year. I’m done celebrating the beginning of this government we have to endure, and all the cowardly, evil, crooked, profiteering, corrupt, freedom destroying bullshit that it propagates under the false pretense of freedom and democracy. It’s all about money and power, and that’s all life will ever be about in the eyes of the government here in America.

It hasn’t been about the people, democracy, rights, freedoms and liberties in over 200 years, which is part of the reason we already had one Civil War.

There needs to be a history class in high schools focusing on all the ugly, disgusting, revolting things our nation has done, and who did them—so that we put an end to the mindless worker-drone production line that those in power so love (which, of course, is why it will never happen). We also need laws that prevent any military aid or foreign aid to any nation which allows or condones human rights abuses, the status of which is reviewed each year.

Which if we are to avoid hypocrisy, means we need to hold our own government accountable and have a better means to do so. Elections are simply insufficient means of doing so. So is impeachment, as it is only initiated by other politicians (who are by nature reluctant to do so, for fear of it becoming a commonly used tool whereby they themselves might be removed), and despite popular belief—removal from office is not mandatory if one is impeached.

As an American, I am tired of seeing our nation helping Israel, Arab dictatorships and monarchies, African warlords and various potentates around the world who keep their people in bondage. But in truth, we need to hold our own government accountable first. It is fast becoming one of the worst governments of all for violating personal freedoms, privacy, liberties, and for human rights abuses.

I don’t mind taking other nations to task when security necessitates it. I’m fine with war as sometimes it is necessary. But it is altogether a different thing to close with and destroy the enemy who was taken the battlefield willingly and under the laws of warfare as generally agreed to by nations…and machine-gunning innocent civilians—men, women and even children—in the name of expediency, political protectionism, or anything else for that matter!

What the South Korean military did is the same as what the Nazis did, and the same thing Al Qaeda does—murdering innocent people. Looking back at history in that context, and looking at what is happening today, I find it highly hypocritical that we’re at war with terrorists for doing the same things our allies in South Korea did.

The only difference I see is that Al Qaeda isn’t murdering those innocents of our enemies…just the innocents of our allies and those on our side. I wonder if America would be engaged in a global War on Terror if instead of flying planes into the World Trade Centers, Al Qaeda had instead flown them into the Kremlin, or downtown Beijing?

Probably not.

Another Example Of What Is Wrong With The System

A woman dying in an emergency room of a hospital, ignored by the staff after lying on the floor for more than an hour, would be bad enough to hear. However, she was forced to be in that room against her will, involuntarily committed for “agitation and psychosis” according to the article on CNN’s website.

Maybe she was in pain from a medical condition that needed to be treated, you think?

So let me get this straight. You involuntarily check someone into a mental institution emergency room, and leave them there for 24 hours? What kind of emergency care is that, first of all? That person then falls face first out of a chair onto the floor and is ignored for an hour…until some complete moron of a staff member finally does their job and checks on that person? And what does this person do? Kicks the person with their foot?

I wonder if you need to go to medical school to learn that?

Another fine example of how government and the system will take away your rights and freedom and prematurely end your life. Medical care in this nation is increasingly something to be had only for the wealthy while the poor get ignored. I hope someone sues the facility in question and puts them out of operation. People that incompetent and inhumane should not be working in the medical profession anywhere in this nation.

Had this woman not been detained against her will, she could have sought medical attention in an emergency room of her choice, or someone could have taken her there.

I mean, why go through the trouble of admitting her, taking away her liberty, costing taxpayers money, and then embarrassing yourself and your profession by doing nothing and letting her die on the floor of your waiting room? The people who admitted her ought to have their feet held to the fire as well.

This is incompetence of the grossest kind.

CNN Good For A Laugh

I give CNN credit for at least publishing the articles, but I found it funny to see the sort of scenario you find occasionally due to advertising revenue models. One recent article about gas prices and ways to confront the issue featured advertisements with Father’s Day gifts…with a photo of a green Lamborghini that your dad could zip around in for a bit—for the low price of $1495.

Wow…what not a great way to beat the expense of high dollar gas—blowing $1495 for a few hours of driving a car. Not that I don’t appreciate muscle cars, hot rods, racing, dragsters, etc., as I totally do. But what a perfect example of how to drop the ball with demographics. CNN could use some help in their marketing department it seems.

The article was interesting, though. Another article I found of interest was: Oklahoma’s painful car culture.

Oh, and you might as well check out: Is America’s suburban dream collapsing into a nightmare?

CNN on beating the cost of gas...

CNN advertisement for Father\'s Day...

Maybe it’s only funny to someone with a marketing background? Oh well, it’s late and I’m bored…

Illegal Immigrants Must Pay Out Of State Tuition In Colorado

Does anyone else think this is exactly the kind of idiocy that is wrong with the government throughout the USA? Why allow illegal immigrants to go to college in the USA at all, especially when we don’t have every American citizen already going to college? You know, a government is supposed to work for those it governs, not those of other countries.

This is yet another example of why our nation if falling apart at the seams–stupidity in government. I certainly don’t blame anyone for wanting a better education, but if they aren’t here legally, they don’t deserve to be in, nor should they be in, our institutions of higher learning. It is an insult to every American.

I mean, for example–they offer law enforcement degrees in colleges and universities in Colorado I would assume (then again, perhaps they don’t, which is why they can’t figure things out in a way that makes sense), and you would think they do, right? What kind of hypocrisy is it to be awarding degrees in the enforcement of law when those very same institutions are encouraging BREAKING THE LAW AND INVADING OUR NATION?

Another example of the stupidity driving our nation to ruin in grand style by law makers who will do anything to further their political careers or cater to lobbyists in order to protect their salary. All the while selling out their countrymen…

Song Of The Day: The Bastard Fairies - We’re All Going To Hell

OK, today’s Song Of The Day is by the band who had the honor of being the band I chose to kick off this feature. All hell…err, hail, The Bastard Fairies.

I thought with my previous post about the soldier getting in trouble for shooting a copy of the Quran, it was appropriate. Enjoy We’re All Going To Hell by The Bastard Fairies!

Song Of The Day: The Coasters - Down In Mexico

I’m more a fan of the movie Death Proof than the song. Hey, Quentin Tarantino makes good movies in my opinion…

Why the song Down In Mexico by The Coasters? So I could share video footage of Vanessa Ferlito performing a sexy lap dance–why else? Check out her website if you like what you see.

You wouldn\'t kick her out of bed for eating crackers either, would you?

A special thanks to the lady who has my errant mind wandering about in this general direction this morning. This Song Of The Day is for you.

Song Of The Day: Sick Of It All - Step Down

Nothing like some old-school hardcore from NYC to get the blood pumping. One of my favorite bands, kicking out some slamming riffs with more energy than ten pep squads drowning in Red Bull. It’s also a hell of a lot of fun, this song.

Check out the Sick Of It All website and get acquainted with the band if you aren’t already. For two decades these guys have been at it, and they own the term hardcore.

And if you’re one of those silly people who is even dreaming about posting some stupid comment about the pits of today versus the ones of yesteryear or some such nonsense, forget it. If people aren’t getting knocked out by Jack Daniels bottles (You gotta admit, John—that was kinda funny!) and bodies aren’t flying about in your pits because you think such people are “ruining the art of pitting” or some other ridiculously lame sentiment, go whine to your Emo therapist at your Emo-core therapy group.

Never fear, though. If you’re Emo, it should be safe enough for you in the forums on the band’s website

Sabotage Of Presidential Hopefuls And Horse Racing

Does anyone else think that Obama and Clinton have been sabotaged by people close to them since their campaigns started? I honestly have to say I have never seen two more ineptly run campaigns in my 38 years.

With Friends Like That, Who Needs Enemies?

On Hillary’s side, you have Bill Clinton running off at the mouth, making chauvinistic comments, contradicting comments, disagreeing on policy issues, and in general not keeping his mouth shut when he should. Then there are her staffers and campaign workers who have engaged in they usual muck-raking and dirty politics, and her own trips to Fantasy Island…like the one where she dodged sniper fire on a visit to the Balkans.

On Barack’s side, you have the Reverend Wright with his racist statements. He just won’t go away and keep his mouth shut. If Obama loses the nomination, it will likely be because of Wright. How ironic that the first viable black candidate for President with a real chance of winning is getting sabotaged by another black man still living in the past, dragging down a younger man looking to move the nation forward. It’s even more ironic since it was the Democrat party that undid what anti-slavery progress had been made under the Missouri Compromise by passing the Kansas-Nebraska Act and the Compromise of 1850—and which was supported by northern and southern Democrats alike.

Push Until They Die: There Is Profit In Death

Horse racing. Must not forget that. Today’s Kentucky Derby took the life of yet another horse, Eight Belles. The filly broke both her front ankles and was euthanized on the track. You know, I like horses as much as the next person and we had horses while I was growing up. Given the chance, I would rather ride one than miss out on an opportunity to do so.

I understand wanting to demonstrate and take pride in the prowess of one’s animals—be they pets, livestock or family members. However, to push and punish animals so that humans can make money and gamble on them does not sit well with me. Horse racing needlessly imperils the health and lives of magnificent animals whom I would rather have around me than the majority of those people who go to wager on them and watch them (like Chelsea Clinton, who was there).

Don’t get me wrong, I think there are hobbies and sports and animal trials that are just fine—most in fact. Horse racing though, is something altogether different. It is rather like dog fighting, without the fighting but based on the same principle, to push an animal to its physical limits for the enjoyment of people and gambling. One component of sports is excelling and being the best you can be, but when you put that onto an animal without choice and who cannot voice their health or pain and push them until they break and die for entertainment and money, it is no longer sporting at all.

I call that shameful and think it seems abusive as well.

Democrats Seek To Torpedo Bill That Would Increase Veterans Educational Benefits

Congressional Democrats are looking for ways to kill a bill aimed at increasing educational benefits for veterans and ensuring that enlistees are getting the benefits they are promised. The $2 billion bill, Sen. Jim Webb’s Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act, is meant to do the right thing for those serving their country, but Democrats are seeking to turn it into a weapon to use against the Bush administration by getting it vetoed.

President Bush has already said he will veto the bill if there are any attachments or amendments to it. Now, let’s look at why that is important…

The bill was created because educational benefits are one of the biggest enlistment incentives for prospective enlistees, and also because educational benefits are not keeping up with the cost of a college education. Congress is trying to do right by those protecting our nation—or rather, some in Congress are. The Democrats, however, see an opening—a way to wound the war machine they believe the current administration to be.

You see, if Democrats attach something to the bill, and the President vetoes it, it looks like the President is against increasing educational benefits for veterans he is sending off to war. It will also mean enlistment/recruiting efforts will suffer and many potential enlistees will think twice when they see that the military is not going to provide benefits that keep pace with costs of an education in America. You can’t hardly afford even a community college education on the current benefits.

Now, if this bill is to benefit our veterans, why can’t Democrats just leave it alone and allow those men and women to get what they have earned and more than deserve—more importantly, what they were promised? Because this is a chance to hurt enlistment, make the military and the administration look bad, a way to impact troop strength over the long term which will pressure the administration and the Department of Defense to wrap up the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan quickly. It could conceivably lead to premature withdrawal of troops as the military leadership begins to view the administration and Congress as non-supportive, leading to recommendations for disengagement from top generals—and which Congress and any administration would find hard to ignore.

Left alone, the bill will pass and provide the resources to ensure our veterans receive the benefits they signed up for and that they have earned. Left alone, it means more veterans are likely to complete a college or vocational education and find a new career after their military service is completed. Left alone, it means soldiers can plan for the next phase of their lives and try to get ahead in life, moving on as citizens with faith in the government, the military they served in, and their countrymen. It means a more brightly lighted path back to normalcy after enduring and surviving the war their countrymen determined they should fight.

So why the hell won’t Democrats leave the bill alone and do what is right?

Because the moonbat Democrats don’t want veterans moving on, or better educated. They might vote more Democrats out of jobs for one. Secondly, if veterans are upset and disenfranchised—and stories about it are making the rounds in the media for years to come—it hurts military recruitment.

It seems Democrats don’t want to honor soldiers. It appears that they just want to live as cheaply as possible behind the wall of safety those soldiers provide, while giving the country those soldiers fought for away—to those foreign invaders called illegal aliens. Come to think of it, at least one Republican running for President wants to do the same thing.

NYC Cops Get Away With Murder

In yet another example of the jack-booted thug sort of mentality that is becoming more prevalent across this nation, the police officers who murdered an innocent man in a hail of 50 bullets were acquitted of all charges.

Sean Bell was set to get married in just a few hours, and was wrapping up his bachelor party when undercover officers gunned him down outside a nightclub as he and his friends tried to drive away from armed men who did not identify themselves as police officers according to two witnesses in the car with Bell.

This is not just an issue of justice for minorities, but an issue of justice for every American citizen and accountability of those who are supposed to be protecting We the People—not murdering us out of incompetence or malice. This also is not the first such incident in New York and it is unlikely to be the last.

Law enforcement in this nation has in the course of past decade turned from the ideal of protect and serve to one of probe, punish, and shoot in most medium to large sized cities. Even in smaller communities, however, they are starting to adopt the para-military mindset of their metro counterparts.

If riots or some sort of violent repercussion result of this, I won’t be one bit surprised. Nor would I blame those involved.

There is no more accountability of the police in this nation. We have seen it in New Orleans, New York, Los Angeles and cities across this nation time and time again. If you are a police officer in America, you have a license to kill even innocent law abiding citizens at will, and you will get away with it because the establishment which depends on police to fill for-profit prisons will not punish you as one of their cash collectors.

Maybe that’s why we have such a problem with illegal immigration in this country? Police are too busy killing and harassing innocent people—which would explain why some sanctuary cities do not want police to waste their time questioning illegal alien gang members about their immigration status.

Have more innocent Americans died here in the continental USA from terrorist attacks or police shootings and abuse since September 11, 2001? What do you think the answer is?

Starving Our Soldiers In Iraq While Getting Rich

Oklahoma National Guardsmen are having to work 10 hour shifts without food in Iraq according to allegations being made by some of those serving in Oklahoma’s 45th Infantry Division. They are being forced to skip meals and being starved it seems.

U.S. Rep. Mary Fallin and U.S. Rep. Tom Cole have asked the National Guard and the Army to investigate the matter. If this turns out to be true, this will be one of the most disturbing and disgusting issues to come out of this war.

Here we have defense contractors getting rich, oil companies getting rich, PMC’s getting rich…and yet they are withholding meals from American soldiers? I urge everyone to urge your elected representatives to look into this matter and call for an investigation. Make this an issue that the mainstream media must pay attention to!

Here our President is talking about the SPP in New Orleans and all the benefits we’ll get from partnering with Mexico and yet we’re starving our soldiers fighting our wars? What the hell is wrong with this picture? Some of my great uncles served with the Thunderbird Division in WWII, and as these are fellow Oklahomans suffering this stupidity, I take this personally.
