Philosophy

Everything—even those things which are as of yet undreamed of—has a relationship with everything else. Matter doesn’t just transmit energy, but information as well. The elusive grand unified theory has always been right before us—everything is one, all is connected, the finite and the infinite are complimentary.

Unfortunately, people don’t always make use of deep, relationary thinking when they address some issue. Some simply don’t know how and are unaware of the threads tying everything together. Even those who understand how to do so aren’t very likely to ascertain anything with absolute clarity. All that any of us can do is try to understand things a bit better than when we started out, by applying a few principles to our thinking process.

  • Options and objectivity are both friends and foes of deep thinking.
  • Logic is mandatory and fallible.
  • Truth is immutable, yet relative.
  • Actions and outcomes are the manifestation of perception.

We live precariously on the edge of futility in our modern world. How did we get to such a place? We learned at some point in time that society can shape others in our own image. Yet it also reflects the ugliness in our own visage right back at us, and we often find it abhorrent to look upon. Do as I say, not as I do. Thus do nations and civilizations rise and fall—like mountains and tides—along with the soul of their people. And so, it is important to know who and what we are, how we became, where we are headed and why.

It is important to remember and not forget…

It is important to have a sense of humor…

And so: I blog, therefore I am.

For a bit more on my personal philosophy and how science, religion and metaphysics have had an impact on it, may I suggest one of my posts that delved into the topic and generated quite a bit of discussion: From Physics To Metaphysics, Quantum Mechanics And The Common Framework Of All Existence
