Fidel Castro Likes Clinton-Obama Ticket
August 28, 2007
The best reason yet to demonstrate why Americans do not want either Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama to win the Presidency: it is what our nearest enemy, a communist country wants.
Fidel Castro likes the idea of a Clinton-Obama ticket and says it would be “unbeatable” in the upcoming elections.
I suppose if one is looking for the sympathy ticket, that would be it. I suppose if one wanted a ticket that represented elitism and poor judgment (remember, we’re all “part of a vast right-wing conspiracy” for having pointed out her hubby was poking around where he shouldn’t have been), then Clinton is your candidate.
Obama would hurt himself politically more than he would benefit from any such association. All the independence and outsider credibility he has worked to create for himself (and which is his strongest weapon in his political arsenal) will vanish in a puff of smoke.
Liberals like this idea though. It would be perfect from their point of view. They would, in one pairing, have the fiery young black man out to change the system and the former First Lady—who stood by her husband even though he didn’t deserve it. They would be Equal Opportunity poster-children come to life.
Surely, no American with an appropriately guilty conscience could avoid voting for them, right? A vote against a man who is both Muslim and Black would make one feel guilty for not being the paragon of inclusiveness. And surely, who would feel good about heaping insult on top of injury by voting against a woman that suffered indignities from her draft-dodging, horn-dog of a husband?
I will concede that they would have a hard time screwing up our foreign policy anymore than it already has been. Still, I would rather it was foreign policy that was screwed up rather than domestic policy. Both of them will likely help plant Mexican flags across the Southwest and open the borders. Both have little political experience, and will do as much to erode personal freedoms and liberties as Bush has.
Those reasons, I guess, are why our enemies love the idea of putting the two into the top leadership positions in America.

Interesting…and I got hooked to read your article by the first two sentences… and I am moved to write by your last paragraph…
…and what if this information were just a plant by the Republicans?… and if not, then, what if this is just a plant by the Castro camp, in that the best way to bring down their biggest threat (perceived threat to them for whatever reason) is to avoid having to deal with it in the first place (by helping to get them NOT elected, and let’s face it, who wouldn’t think twice to investigate further before voting for someone endorsed by a known ‘enemy’?)…
The way I see it, politics is a huge waste of time and is often self-serving…and it is a like huge multi-tiered chess game that, has, unfortunately, tangled up too much to ever be of good use again… So, perhaps this statement were ‘leaked’ to get people to react, well, just as you did… to think twice about voting for the duo that would most likely cause the most problems for Cuba in one way or another (and not in any obvious way that we could all readily see and assess for ourselves)…
On the other hand, I have never met a Politician who was that smart (with one exception that comes to mind - only ONE…)… I would, rather, be more afraid of the tactician who work behind the scenes and plant these news tidbits - or allow them through, as the case may be… They are ruthless as they are good, very good at what they do, but how much of it is aboveboard and where was there ever a fair fight in politics?….
… (and, as you know, I am not American, so this is just a general statement/reaction about how, it seems, we can never really believe ANYTHING that we hear about these days (because how can we ever differentiate truth from planted truth in order to be able to properly digest and assess and because there is always some hidden reason or two which is not always immediately, if ever, apparent to the regular Joe (and Joe-ess, like me) on the street (but enough that has come to light much later on to make one hesitate about believing anything)…. and, so, I would have made these remarks even had Clinton and Obama been Republicans (as I am always wary of why country would endorse ANYONE in another country, especially one with which they are not that friendly.. in my own, I am thinking of ‘Vive le Québec libre’ made famous by the head of one of our closest allies, so it just makes me wary about everything)…
And, yes, if it needs to be said, I have been a liberal (small ‘l’
all my life because I believe in personal responsibility and also that there should be a general basic respect for any and all, that there is little use for anything other than minimal government etc., there should be no question or debate or money issues involved with access to basic healthcare and education regardless one’s position or situation in life…
…and, as such, I have never really seen the correlation between what I believe and Politics (or anyone in ANY government), although I have usually voted Liberal (Canadian equivalent of Democrats but only more or less) because the Conservatives (Republicans equivalent) were almost always pointing their attentions and efforts in the direction of helping out big corporations and money rather than people in general… and the third Canadian party i.e., the NDP (New Democratic Party), has most of the values in which I truly believe, i.e., which really has the people’s interests at heart) but, to me, is a party that is too ‘good’ in their intentions to truly be in power, as it stands today, where they would be forced by lobbyists and other stupid interests to change their ways in one way or another before long (and, as such, I feel that they were always vital and play the most important role in government just in keeping the governing party, whichever it is, in check by helping to balance their stupidities with some good common sense… they have accomplished much - just where they are… they would not be able to have accomplished so much if they were in power or non-existent)….
In recent years, I have had an extremely hard time voting at all, what with duly-voted politicians crossing the floor (as a career move or whatever!) and all this other stuff that makes it very hard to distinguish one party from another (not their original values, although that is pretty blurred these days too, but how they govern once in (and none of it is for the people anyway) blah blah blah)…
Thanks for the opportunity to let me blow some steam! Ha!
Enjoy your day, Sean!

Thanks for dropping by to read and comment. It’s unlikely this was leaked. It was released by Cuba’s government controlled media, so everyone can be quite sure it is as official as it gets.
And, of course Fidel ‘leaked’ it at just the right time, for his own reasons. He’s been at this game a long time, even though he’s not all that smart at it.
