Spec Ops Paratroopers Drop In On Prison

July 17, 2007

Just when you think there’s nothing but the usual war, political scandals, and other news fodder out there, something catches your eye.

Apparently 25 special operations soldiers missed their DZ by a few miles and landed in the cornfield of Fremont Correctional Facility near Ordway, Colorado. While there may be some mystery surrounding who they are, there are also some clues—since the official comment on the incident came out of MacDill Air Force Base, Florida.

I wonder how long it will take the blogosphere to ramp up with posts about how our government is training troops to assault prisons for some devious reason?
