Lebanese Government And UN Will Not Disarm Hezbollah
What good is the UN? I have to ask that question every time it gets involved any issue. It’s done nothing to disarm Hezbollah and ensure Israel does not find itself threatened by the terrorist organization again.
The Lebanese government is not doing anything to disarm Hezbollah either. No wonder Israel keeps violating Lebanese airspace. Who can blame them?

Solar Power On My Mind
A company named Citizenrē is offering free solar systems for homeowners. They will install it, and all you have to do is agree to buy your electric from them at prices under your current utility company charges.
You will get the chance to buy the equipment from the company and most importantly, you will help save the environment. Sounds fantastic. However, the company is drawing fire. See why over on Wired.com and then check out the company for yourself.
Also, check out web hosting company Affordable Internet Services Online, Inc.—a solar powered hosting company.

Writing Guidelines And Thinking Strategy
I’ve been thinking about strategy and writing today. And strategy for writing.
Interestingly enough, I came across a site for a company whose strategy for reserving parking spaces and auctioning them off is raising eyebrows. Get ready for ‘parking space rage’ any time now…

A Favorite Site: iMedia Connection
Another quick post, this one is about a favorite eMarketing site of mine.
You can find some great articles on iMedia Connection’s website. I do. In fact, there is a great article on metrics I would love to point out to readers.
As an aside, iMedia Connection’s best metric with regard to me is probably the number of cups of coffee I consume while visiting the site. Though they cannot measure it, it averages about two cups.
That is not bad at all, considering many sites warrant a mere two or three sips…

iJamr And Terapad, Some Blogware Discussion
I discovered two interesting startups, thanks to KillerStartups.com. One is in the music industry, the other offers a new blogging platform that is loaded with features.
I also discussed some issues concerning web developers and why some might be ignoring blogware. Since it was on another site and such a lengthy reply, I’m being lazy and linking to it rather than writing another full-blown post…

Deflecting Asteroids With Tractors, Apocalypse-Proof USB Drive
Small tractor-like spacecraft might be able to save us from asteroid collisions in the future. But who would you rather have saving the world—a robotic spaceship, or Bruce Willis armed with nukes?
And there is a cool USB drive which can probably survive an asteroid strike, thermonuclear war, and a 5 year old. Check out military strength data protection that even geeks can own and appreciate. You can store the knowledge to rebuild society or your favorite mp3 files, and use it as a weapon!
Is that cool or what?

Horny And Stoned, Boulder City Council Finally Takes Action
The Boulder City Council is going to be tackling the first draft of new guidelines for what constitutes appropriate behavior this week. Apparently they had no such guidelines before Human Relations Commission member Ron Smoke made some inappropriate comments on his MySpace account.
That was a year ago. It is no surprise that it would take politicians a year to figure out what constitutes good, bad, professional and unprofessional behavior.
To paraphrase, he claimed he was horny and stoned. And then he made some salacious comment or other to another MySpace member.
I personally don’t see what all the flap was about. He is just following in the footsteps of other politicians such as Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, and Marion Barry.
I’m just waiting to see a governor post photos on MySpace with the caption “Gettin’ krunk with my peeps ‘n some krazy ho up in the k-a-p-i-t-o-l!!!”

Filming Assault On Homeless Man, Immigrant Criminal Elements
The disturbing trend among young people who think it makes them cool to film attacks on people needs to be dealt with harshly. Perhaps it is time to pass laws declaring that premeditated and intentional attacks for the purpose of filming it ought to be some sort of hate crime or receive harsher penalties?
Then, there’s the huge problem with crime and the criminal element among illegal immigrants that needs to be addressed.
Check out the statistics for yourself! You will be amazed at the number of sex offenders, drug dealers and more that we’re allowing into our society every year…

USB To Go: Applications For Your Portable Drive
Ever wondered if there were any good applications to put on your portable USB drive to make going ultra-mobile actually productive? There are a lot of good applications that fit the bill nicely.
I happened across a great software site called SnapFiles.com that has a section dedicated to downloads for USB drives. What a neat idea…

A Car That Runs On Air
I came across the most incredible thing I have seen yet for ‘green’ transportation. Sure, electric cars are great, but here’s one that runs on air!
You have to see photos of this amazing car and read about it. This is big, folks. There are still some issues to be cleared up with patents and investing it seems, but this holds enough promise to knock air pollution on its proverbial butt.
300 kilometer range on a single charge. No smoke and pollution. Runs on air…I still have a hard time believing it!

China, Russia, India: Common Cause Against America?
China, Russia, and India are banding together to challenge America’s dominance on the international stage.
As if Hugo Chavez and his anti-American coalition weren’t enough of a headache, now this. This is potentially more problematic, though. Why?
India, China and Russia account for 40 per cent of the world’s population, a fifth of its economy and more than half of its nuclear warheads.

Israeli Construction Webcast, King Solomon’s Temple Theory
Israel will be webcasting their recent construction project that is causing so much stir in Jerusalem, according to the BBC. I never cease to be amazed at what causes public outcry in the Muslim world.
Muslims around the world are angry about a construction project, but do little to condemn violence and racism by groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, the Muslim Brotherhood and others. Yet, when Israelis undertake a construction project in the vicinity of a mosque, it’s cause for outrage? Give me a break.
Muslims everywhere are suggesting Israel wants to make Jerusalem a Jewish city. Part of me thinks it is largely because Muslims fear that Israelis have plans to excavate under the Al-Aqsa mosque in order to find Solomon’s Temple that is rumored to be buried there or under the Temple Mount…

2000 Bloggers
A blogging community I joined recently is stirring the social networking pot and has caught a lot of attention. Not all of it good in the eyes of Technorati and other sites whose business model centers around user-rated content. But then, even bad publicity is good publicity, right?
There’s a great photo montage on the site, and you can find me in it as well.
It’s also had me thinking a lot about the concept of ‘gated’ communities as a business model. Not just the typical web community, but something a bit different. This particular social networking concept has been in the back of my mind for some time and I’m inclined to try it out—perhaps with the network of sites I am planning to launch soon.
Anyway, check out 2000 Bloggers.

Pharmaceuticals Unlikely To Make New Cancer Cure
There has been a remarkable discovery made recently by a group of medical researchers at the University of Alberta. They’ve found a way to cure several kinds of cancer—breast, brain, and lung.
It is known to be safe for humans, is already used to treat metabolic disorders, and has no patent. That means it will be dirt cheap to manufacture…
