Dot Commers: Falling Down On The Job
January 27, 2007
There’s an article on CNN.com about the Aurora Bridge in Seattle and the damage it’s doing to Dot Commers who work along the base. Seems people keep jumping off the bridge and committing suicide.
Therapists have to come in and help the traumatized workers who keep seeing bodies hitting the parking lots and hoods of cars.
Traumatized?
You’d think someone would have set up a “suicide cam” and be offering subscriptions by now. I swear, even Dot Commers are slacking these days. Next they’ll stop wearing sandals to work.

I hope they are asking for hazard pay, at least.

I think Seattle still has the highest suicide rate in US. Something to do with “Sleepless in Seattle” or the cloudy/rainy weather. So, may not just the Dot Commers jumping. Sorry to say.
